Re: Grandcentral Dialer
The GC Icon in contacts was originally put there by Datapath for when planning on having only an "All Contacts" list, to distinguish what contact list each was from. With the combo box saying what contact list you are in, it seemed redundant without an "All Contacts" feature.
I intended "None" as a universal fallback. I was thinking that since not all setups will have evolution support and not every user will want the performance hit if they accidentally click "Contacts" and it loads their GC Contacts, we can fallback to "None". I didn't go with only an "All" because not all would like the performance hit of GC Contacts. I have not yet done an optional "All" out of laziness and the dirtiness in knowing it would be imperfect in merging the contact lists. Adding this would mean I'd probably have to add back in the icons and then provide icons for the other modes. Since I'm e lazy, to avoid svn conflicts I'll wait till brontide commits in case his threading/performance work might have touched those areas |

Any chance this will be available in extras-devel for us chinook users?

Re: Grandcentral Dialer
in the contacts tab, what else is able to be selected from the drop down where it says grandcentral with the arrow next to it?

Re: Grandcentral Dialer
@munky261
Currently, you can choose: 1. None for no performance hit 2. Grand Central which makes it do a bit of initial processing when first entering the tab 3. Maybe Evolution but only if you have the right libraries installed. It is confirmed to work on the desktop but is somewhat untested on tablets |

Cool App, much improved from the first incarnation. I really love the integrated contacts and auto login. DialCentral is now my main SIP app! Keep up the good work.

Re: Grandcentral Dialer
epage: Thanks for the explination. Currently, I only sometimes use my GC contacts, and mostly just dial numbers by hand. I figured I'd throw in the request because someone else might want it, and I might even use it if implemented. Not a big deal at all, though.
Oh, and I don't think I said this in my last couple of posts: You guys have done a GREAT job. Keep up the good work! |

Re: Grandcentral Dialer
I'm having a strange issue where I can't seem to log in normally (non-root) in dialcentral. If I run it from ssh on my desktop, it logs in just fine. Now when I fire it back up as non-root the login prompt doesn't even come up anymore, even after clicking the clear authentication information button under the Account tab. It's been a long night, I'll try again later.

Re: Grandcentral Dialer
Because of the lack of yelling and screaming I have moved 0.8.0-9 into extras. I will be adding this to the download site shortly as well.
My next task will be to sync back up with epage and get the SVN in order. |
