Partitioning with cfdisk
I tried to partition my new 1GB-MMC in 2 partitions (as described in http://maemo.org/maemowiki/ExtendedRootFilesystem an the links inside
) After deleting the old partition i have about 1027 MB free space. When i make a FAT16-Partition with 640 MB, cfdisk doesnt show any free space, and i cant make a second partition from the rest. Whats wrong? How can i create a second partition on my card? Another Question: What size do you recommend for the rootfs-partition on the MMC? |
Hi.
The screen is to small (only one line to show partitions), use the down button to scroll down and be able to see the line with the free space. |

cfdisk / mkfs.vfat
Did you install beta 2006 ?
=> cfdisk was coming from extrootfs ? I'm interested to know if you can use mkfs.vfat from beta 2006, see my post about the problem I have Thank you, Laurent. |
In the meantime i installed OS2006(beta). With this extrootfs can no longer be installed. So i didnt try to format my partitions :(
