The easy way to make your browser faster
Go to Tools -> Settings -> General
and disable Javascript. Probably the easiest hack ever posted at ITT. :) Sure, some websites will not work anymore. But most will. Including ITT. Try it out, it really makes a difference. |

What I had before changes, then after changes WIFI, (BTW - I have a 5MB to 6MB DSL connection)...;)

This would be useful if the browser would have an Opera-style "site preferences" feature where you could disable javascript globally and then enable it on a per-site basis for "critical" pages that require it... Same would go for flash, gif animations, popups, etc.

The NoScript Firefox extension provides similar functionality as Site Preferences. A port would be awesome.
Disabling ads, and using Flashblock also speeds up the browser experience. |
