Re: How Do You Play Sirius Without Going Through X-Terminal Each Time?
If nothing is checked off, nothing opens. If I start messing with the two boxes to be checked off, various errors arrise.
When I check both boxes, an XTerm window opens asking for a password. I enter the password I selected for Sirius and for RootSH, but they don't work. So then, I try again and the XTerm box opens saying: Sorry, user user is not allowed to execute '/usr/bin/rootsh python /home/user/MyDocs/sipie.py' as root on Nokia-N800-23-14. When nothing is checked, it just says: "Sirius Satellite Radio has started" on the main screen, but nothing happens after that...? |
Re: How Do You Play Sirius Without Going Through X-Terminal Each Time?
Select both the "run in terminal" and "run as root options"..
type MyDocs/sipie/sipie.py in the command box. Seems like Sudser works quietly in the background giving root. |
Re: How Do You Play Sirius Without Going Through X-Terminal Each Time?
OK, I did that for both the Personal Menu and the Personal Launcher, but neither worked.
Two XTerm windows opened and one asked for a password, so I tried my Sirius password, but it was wrong. So, I was able to give another password, and I put in the one that I selected when I set one for the "Root" and that didn't work and then I got the following error (again): Sorry, user user is not allowed to execute 'MyDocs/sipie/sipie.py' as root on the Nokia-N800-23-14. Now, when only "Run In Terminal" is selected (with Personal Menu"), I get a line for "Enter Username:" and I enter that... Then it asks for my Sirius Password. Then it wants login type (guest/subscriber). Then it asks about Canada (True/False). And then I get a ton of lines of errors. :-( Here is the full code: Quote:

Re: How Do You Play Sirius Without Going Through X-Terminal Each Time?
I had the same errors until I installed Sudser.
For now uninstall Rootsh, use/install Sudser. |
Re: How Do You Play Sirius Without Going Through X-Terminal Each Time?
Only when I leave "Run In Terminal?" checked can I get as far as I did before.
I uninstalled RootSH and the same results as before are what I got. Nothing new, nothing less. When I check them both off, it opens, asking for a password. I enter my password and then it gives me an error. :-( Am I not installing Sudser properly? I have it listed in my list of installed programs. (Sudser Version: 0.2.0-2) |
