No response to taps on screen/sem resposta ao toque na tela
 

My 770 don't respond to taps. It does the apropriate tap sound, but no program opens. Using side keys, it works, but doesn't with taps on screen.
Also, when menu key is acionated, menu appears . after that, Clicking menu home, it desappears and no responding.
Should I reset device?
By the way, that little hole beside the charger plug is reset button?

Meu 770 não atende aos toques na tela. Produz o som caracteristico mas nenhum programa abre. As teclas laterias funcionam.
Da mesma forma, quando eu aciono a tecla do menu home, aparece o menu. Daí eu toco no menu e ele desaparece, sem executar nenhuma ação.
Tem algum botão pra reset? Não compreendo, pois ele funcionava bem.
A propósito, o buraquinho ao lado da entrada para o carregador é o reset?

Don't poke anything in there.

Maybe you need to calibrate your screen? Try using the menu button and scroll down to tools > screen calibration. Of course this is in english...might look a little different in other region. Don't poke the hole...you'll poke your microphone out like that.

Try drawing with Sketch (Utilities - Sketch) to see if calibration is way off.

Best thing you could then would be to contact Nokia and tell them that the device does not work with the touch screen. Be prepaired to wait for a while. Sending mine out to get get fixed because of the white screen of death took 30 minutes on the phone.

If it is new enough (recent purchas) then I'd say take it back to the store.

I have the same problem with my "new" (refurbished) 770. I updated, downgraded, then re-updated the software several times, to no effect. I've posted a question in the Nokia discussion forums - will let you know what I find out.
