cLaWsMail + Gmail IMAP = stumped
 

Firstly, I would like to add that I have searched extensively (perhaps not enough if someone provides me with a link answering my question) for the configuration to get IMAP Gmail via Claws working on diablo.

2 days ago, I was able to receive all my mail but sending was did not work. Last night I managed to change the configurations somehow so that sending works like a charm but receiving does not- in fact when I press the receive button claws does nothing.

I know this situation sounds silly but I can not figure out how to get send&receive working properly. I searched & read- fought off the impulse to immediately "start" a new thread for a quick answer. A step by step answer would be appreciated if feasible. Well folks, classes start Wednesday for me and it would be nice to get claws working... help. Oh, and yes IMAP is checked off in my GMAIL.

I just put in the settings given in the Google instructions, and it worked. You do have to follow them exactly.

The University of Washington excellent email client is not included here...
