N800 for sale

I have a 4 month old N800 in perfect codition for sale. I love the thing but just can't get my head round Linux so get frustrated with a lot of the apps.
It comes with 2 mem cards, PDair leather case and Sirf III GPS unit. Intend on putting it on eBay tomorrow but make me an offer if you're interested, PM or otherwise. The whole bundle is worth over $450 easily. Not decided on a price yet so get in while the going is good. I'll ship anywhere but the buyer pays (obviously).
I can send photos to all interested parties or post on here (once I get batteries for my camera shortly).
Cheers tableteers. :D

Re: N800 for sale

Who said I'd mentioned 'everything' here?? Plus the memory cards were both $70 and the bluetooth GPS was over $60 (can't remember exactly). And on top of that I'm quoting Canadian bucks not US.

Please people, if you're not interested in buying don't spam / flame me.

Re: N800 for sale

Someone seems a mite touchy. You didn't mention there was more, so it seems only reasonable to conclude that was all; if not, it would seem you could have pointed it out more civilly.

And don't expect that the memory cards and GPS are necessarily worth what you paid for them; they might be (I don't know or care the current USD / CAD conversion), but both of those items have come down in price recently, so if you bought them very long ago... 16GB memory is regularly available for 60 USD, if you shop around, for example.

I dont think he was spamming or flaming you, he was just offering a way for you to make more money.

as a side note are you interested in selling just hte n800?

How much do the cards total up to? What would I get for $160?

Re: N800 for sale

Sorry peeps but I hate it when someone tries to get clever and start pointing out useless info. If you want it let me know if not just don't post / email.

Anyway I have the N800 boxed as new with everything included. The headset is unused too. The mem cards are both 8Gb SDHC one being an ultra version (sells for at least $70 currently the 16Gb at $60 will be the normal type). The case is brand new had it about 2 weeks. The GPS is never used and I also have a car charger, also it comes with a standard Nokia battery which you can pick extra ones up anywhere. On top of those I have 3 spare screen protectors for the future.

I'm keeping it all together thanks as I don't want the hassle of selling multiple items. I was thinking at least $280 US.

Cheers. :)

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Good luck selling it for $450 on eBay.

Did you actually read the thread posts??
I said worth $450 but I want $280. Geez.
I give up.

Most people only read the first post. http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ttons/edit.gif the first post and make the following changes.

* Make a list
* With all objects
* Included

And state that you've lowered the price to $280 USD.

Please be aware of the following. I think your price is slightly above a fair price because a used N800 for 200 USD on eBay doesn't sell. They go for less. 2 SD cards are nice addon, but you need to keep in mind they're used. A good, new BlueTooth GPS device with Sirf III goes for ~20 USD.

Good luck!

If you had come out and said $280 I might not have bothered posting, the only number you mentioned was the $450 when I posted.
I get upset with people using terms like "perfect codition" (is that Canadian for perfect condition?) when the item does not have a warranty. It better be perfect because if it needs fixing it'll COST.

There are some high schoolers who come to this board wanting to get a computer but don't know prices, they don't need to get discouraged.

As far as what you paid for an item new or used it's between you and whoever sold it to you. There are a lot of people on this board who have bought new w/warranty N810's for over $450 and some lucky dogs who have gotten them for $300 (compusa).

I'll sell you my N810 for $1,000 US.

No it's "perfect condition" for PERFECT CONDITION in ANY language / country. I'm from the UK but moved here last year. I have been using eBay for 8 years and have a 100% feedback totalling around 405 (all private item sales / purchases) so when I say "perfect" I mean PERFECT. Why you get upset god only knows. Weird really.
Plus I did say 4 months old so there's 8 months warranty left if you do the maths. Get real buddy. I'm outta here.

Hi,

WOW!

Never have I seen A forum where it is popular and tolerated to trash A seller for the price they ask for the item they are selling.

If you have an interest in the item, pm the person and discuss it, if not, stop trashing the person.

The OP has A price they want and if you feel it is high, do not buy the item but you all have made it impossible for the person to sell the item here now because of the uncalled for posts that followed the OP.

I really think some of you need to brush up on your social skills as some of the posts in this thread are vicious and totally uncalled for.

I will say this thread gives validity for the need of A moderating team as opposed to just Reggie as the sole Moderator.

To the OP, I will offer my apologies for the behaviour of some of the above posters as they do not reflect the whole membership of this site.

The last time I, bunanson, checked, this is still a public forum......anybody is welcome to post or not to post, maybe Reggie, is the only person has to the right to tell people NOT to post.

Posting an item with a seemingly higher than "fair" market value, irritate me too. Worth $450 (implied for an asking $) for a used N800 plus some accessories certainly deserved a comment. Being in the same community, it is my obligation to 'help' the buyer and the seller, so neither one get upset after the transaction. If I am a potential buyer, I welcome the extra info. BTW, I picked up 2 N800 4 months back in two separate transactions, both were under $150, came with everything in the box and more, 2G SD X2 and extra car chargers.

If you cannot stand the fact people discuss your offer don't put it on this forum. Put it on e.g. eBay instead. Then you have control over what is shown on the offer.

As for this forum, maybe some guidelines about what a seller should include is useful although we've already discussed this in a thread recently. Link.

Here is the Nokia/US waranty, http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410055,

The limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser ("Consumer") of the Product and is not assignable or transferable to any subsequent purchaser/end-user

The maths is simple. There is NONE.

Thank you.

Someone needs to remind certain members that the members here are human beings and should be treated with A certain amount of respect.

I saw very little respect shown to the OP after the initial post.

As for questioning the price or reasons why, there is A proper way and improper and I read some very improper ways in this thread.

Treating the OP as if they are here to scam members is A horrible way to treat someone who did nothing wrong.

I understand there has been discussions here before on how to treat members, especially noobs but it takes an open mind to understand the need for change.

Most forums consider rude and inappropriate post as against forum rules but appear to be accepted here by some members.

I know, if I don't like it leave, well, this is the only forum I have found where I can find answers to my questions regarding my IT.

I do not post much here because A simple question by me could turn into A royal flaming by members wondering why I am asking A "dumb" question or why I did no search, though I probably performed several using many keywords.

I know this is offtopic and therefore against forum rules also so I will close this by saying, I offer my apologies for it but it needed to be posted by someone.

To Reggie, You and Joel ran A great forum with ClieSource and I have the upmost respect for you and I would hope this site can come up to the standards you set there.

You all have A nice day as I am going back to watching football.

Hey cheers but no need to apologise for the others. As I said I love the N800 for all it can do but get frustrated with most of the apps not working properly then even more so with the total 'nerds' on this site who expect others to be the same. I just offered my tablet out for a fair price (by the way if I get less than $280 on eBay so be it I don't really care).

I just need the cash to order a shiny new iPod Touch 2. lol

Bring on the flamers now eh? :p

Your comment might have been O.K. until you took A personal shot at people you do not know.

My comments above were directed towards behaviour and not the person.

I do not know anyone here well enough to take cheap shots, and would not do so anyways.

As for apps not working, I guess it is A matter of opinion and you have to remember all the apps available are developed by users and are not commercial apps.

I, personally am surprised some apps work as well as they do and am very appreciative for the work done by the developers here.

If you give constructive feedback when you have issues, then the developers can work to improve their apps.

Just saying something does not work is not constructive.

And yes, American football.

That goes against first sale doctrine. I don't believe this is legal.

The first sale doctrine applies to copyright and licensing issues, not to warranties.

I see. The sale is a contract with the buyer, and Nokia claims this is non-transferable. Is this normal in USA? Do they pull this in EU as well? I know that with a car it is transferable.

EDIT: searched a bit more. With many devices the warranty is based on serial number; not on receipt.
