Then how to account for those who had problems for that reason?

Code:

:)

Is anyone else still having problems with the RSS reader applet not updating? I have had this problem since Diablo came out, and it still doesn't appear fixed.

should probably check the uid.type subclass, as the above will fail unless he changes his user id... ;)

I always delete the folder with all the bundled manuals, and I've never had trouble. So it's not quite that brittle.

Ditto on two n800s.

Hmmm - appears that bug 3335 is not fixed then.

It fails if there is no files in "/usr/share/pre-installed/MyDocs/.documents/". Create that directory and touch or put a file there if you have that deleted.
It fails if the "/home/user/MyDocs/.documents/osso_software_copyright.pdf" file is a symlink
It fails if the "/home/user/MyDocs/.documents/~sfil_li_folder_user_guides/" directory is a symlink or is empty. Make sure you have an actual directory with any file there.

My reboot loop could be due to that: to make some disk space, I either removed this directory or removed every file from it (thus letting it empty). After all, these files belong to the user, not root, and the user does nothing wrong by removing such files.

I sometimes do upgrades via ssh, but this wasn't the case here (and in general, I avoid upgrades of important packages via ssh).

That would be odd to me, since I successfully restored backup on one of my recent fresh Diablo installs, and rss works fine...

Well reflashing this time around update was successful. I was grasping at straws regarding the SD card. Restored all files and apps and we're back to stable again for the moment. Thanks all!

Re: Seamless Software Upgrade v4.2008.36-5 is out!

Hi All,

I'm really at a bit of a loss here. I've searched around and can't seem to find the solution to my problem. I installed the update (v4.2008.36-5) yesterday and have now reflashed twice and I cannot get on the internet! My wifi connects, but no pages will load and I am unable to install anything from the application manager. As such I am unable to restore as the list of applications I previously had installed are all greyed out. Also, I know my wifi is fine as numerous other devices are able to connect and browse.

This is driving me absolutely nuts as my tablet was working fine until last night!

Please help!

Thanks in advance.
