And here's the log from r13 using the same video:

The video (an episode of arrested development) was first ripped from the DVD, then converted via ffmpeg. I have had no problems viewing these using r13, but but r15 definitely seems to have a problem. I'm pretty sure I tried r14 too, with the same results as r14.

Hope this helps....

Hi,

i am experiencing this on N800 with current firmware (stock kernel) and current mplayer (default options).
The "ripped by me from dvd" file plays ok on desktop (mplayer and kaffeine/xine) as well as on 770 with older mplayer.

Please (Serge i guess), PM me and i will send you a link to sample file in the hope this can help with this issue.

Tnx, Alex.

Here is what i get on N800 :

Added the following in .mplayer/input.conf so I can now adjust the sound delay in video that were unwatchable because of playing audio out of sync. I discovered there are a ton of other keymappings you can do too.

UP audio_delay 0.100
DOWN audio_delay -0.100

I am a noob how do I edit the input.conf file??

Thanks!

Sure, a sample of such file would certainly help.

First youll want to install osso-xterm package and the nano package find them at maemo.org.
Start X terminal and type
Code:

nano .mplayer/input.conf
from your home directory which is the default
you can also use leafpad in the same way if you prefer a graphical user interface.
Code:

leafpad .mplayer/input.conf

Thanks for your help! This is my first time using linux - going to buy some books to learn more. But at least now when I take breaks from reading I can watch Doctor Who in sync.

Thanks again!

Hi Serge!

Have you been able to test new N810 already with mplayer?
Would extra 70Mhz make a big difference for mplayer performance or will video interface still be a problem for bigger resolution Xvids?

cheers

Hey, serge, if you get the mplayer compiled for chinoo, please let me know. I'll test it immediately for you.

Dittto. If a .deb is made for OS2008 I'd be interested in testing.

It already has been. This is the thread you're looking for.
