Anyway, you are right in the fact that currently there is some unclarity and confusion in the Pearl process. Any help fixing it is appreciated and the fix relies totally in the community side. I'm going to contribute to this clarity in this Sunday morning by moving these Fremantle Stars somewhere else... |

One of the things I (and other platform evangelists) do is sell my friends and acquaintances on the tablets. I have convinced three people I know to buy tablets. The latest person bought a tablet just last month. I told him to go to maemo.org to see what the best sofware was. He said, "the server seems to be down." "No," I replied, "It is just slow. Be patient." It seems weird to me that the first face many new tablet users see of the tablet community is so sluggish and frustrating to navigate (due to the speed issues). And it is even worse for developers trying to update their project pages. My browser can sit for several minutes waiting to update the page after I submit changes. |

Trust me, I harass somebody from the paid maemo.org team at least bi-weekly. They know. |

My next statement is a bit oblique but you'll get it: "Don't confuse absence of evidence with evidence of absence." ;) |

This is an old thread that will be closed now. The post about Easychem will be moved under Applications since there is indeed an EasyChem port for Maemo.
