Re: problem in application manager

looks like a problem with the repositories. try deleting them and download stuff at maemo or tableteer to reload them.
Good use of youtube btw.

Good use of youtube btw.

I don't think it's a repository problem, because then it would show some activity on the download indicator, followed by an "unable to update" message.

Maybe it's a connection issue. Or check if any repositories are actually enabled.

Why, Andre? WHY?

There's one catalog you need, and that's Extras.

open xterm and type "cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list" and copy&paste the output here.

you have to type it without the quotes:

Quote:

cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list
but if it is working with phone, problem is somewhere else

I have exactly the same problem but it isn't the router as it works perfectly with my desktop machine. I'm about to ditch the IT, personally since there looks to be no PIM with Win synching on the horizon and the email has always been flaky.
I've also been trying to find a serious French/English translation program like LinguaFranca for Palm/ Windows/ Mac but given up on that too. A few half-asssed things available but nothing up to a serious job.

It's a shame because I really like some aspects of the IT but it's really a little entertainment device rather than the serious Linux computer I'd hoped I could make it.
No criticism of the IT, just my( expensive:-( ) mistake.
