Re: Pybattery - battery statusbar applet with candies

I was using the last one 0.5.3-6

Just downgraded to 0.5.3-5 and everything works fine.

Fixed. Bugfix will be uploaded today :)
Nevertheless it's starting on my device.

Well, it's gonna partly get functionality from OS2008 version.
And in roadmap there is testing of battery capacity algorithm concept.
But at the moment I'm more focused on Advanced Power Common and it's performance (started porting part of it to C extensions for python).

try reinstalling advanced-power-common, that should do the trick.

412b - I'm not sure You know about that, so I think it may be worth posting. As You for sure know, current % of battery charge - both in bme or bq_27200 - is calculated incorrectly, as simple one-line function. One of TMO members - dr_frost_dk - created custom algorithm to calculate battery capacity % from actual voltage, based on real observations using his advanced charging/discharging equipment, and research from other sources. It's proven to be much more accurate and I haven't heard of anyone claiming that it's inaccurate, as opposed to stock algorithm. He distributed his custom work as QueenBeecon widget. Would You be interested in incorporating this to Your nice applet? I would LOVE to replace Nokia stock applet on status menu with - finally - real measurement, but unfortunately, it seems to be little out of my skill to modify Your code in such a way.

I'll take a look at that algorythm at the weekend, at the moment I'm too busy with work.

Re: Pybattery - battery statusbar applet with candies

Just to make it little easier for You:

dr_frost_dk's QBW script <- beware, this one is broken when used with kernel-power

http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=596 <- version fixed by retsaw, working fine with or without kp - so that's probably the one You want to use as a base for incorporating into Your applet.

Thank You anyway, regardless of results!
