[Canola] New Plugin Request/Payment Offer
 

I would really like a Plugin for Canola that would work like an app launcher. Something that would show the icons of certain apps I wish on the Canola background. I keep Canola running almost always when using my N810 and I would to have this feature then having to shrink Canola down and use the regular menus. If anyone that knows how to write plugins for Canola wish to do this and make a little money for it please contact me and we can discuss how much i will be willing to pay for this being programmed. I have a few other plugins I would like as well but I want to see if I can find someone to do this one first before I even talk about others.

Andrew, Tiago did one here in the office, but he didn't want to release because he said it was not good :) I will try to convince him to release the sources.

I don't think money is needed, but I will see if there's anyone interested in porting his plugin for not only you but the others who would like it :)

cool, I think it would be really cool if Canola added more features outside of just music and video.

Yeah, we already defined that beta 10 is coming in december and with it, the whole source code :) maybe this will be a push to some guys to deploy nice experiments :)

We are also playing with a browser :) not a full one but could be very nice :)

cool, you know one feature I think would love to see is something that would let me search movie listings at local movie theaters. just pulling the movie times and stuff in Canola would have to be faster then trying to load movies.com or something over Cell Connection. I have lost of ideas lol just don't have the abilities to program it.

Yeah, it's a good idea! Would be nice for car usage.

WoW ;) I think I now have a lot of reasons to convince our dev thiago to release his launcher plugin :)

He keeps saying that it's too ugly to be released :)

I will show this thread to him and maybe we will have a launcher quite soon :)

I was trying to see how to create a plugin that will show all the items in the menu and launch apps. dev thiago's launcher would be great! We could have a new interface instead of maemo menus.
