Why need you it? What application want it and in what OS are you trying install it?

libssl 0.9.8 should be already on the tablet.

Why should the video camera need ssl? What application are you trying to use (if a video camera app, please include a link)

libssl0.9.7 is available from the standard system repository from catalogue.tableteer.com. It can be installed from commadline as root by typing apt-get install libssl0.9.7

Video camera application apparently isn't in any current repository, so you are probably installing it directly from a deb file. Application manager cannot automatically install depencies when not installing from a repository.

It's in the chinook repository, don't know if it also works on Diablo. This was the first hit on google, by the way...

libssl0.9.7 is in diablo repository to maintain compatibility with chinook.

fmradio package seems to depend on libssl0.9.7 so installing fmradio is easiest way to install libssl0.9.7 too.

I am having difficulty installing videocamera on diablo because all the armel *.deb of libssl-0.97* fail to install. Can some please provide a direct URL to download this package for Diablo users? In additon, is there one website with all *.deb's listed on it (with easy access to all packages on the same page)?
