Next generation NIT must use a decent GPS chip set. The poor GPS in the N810 is the only reason that I don't own one.

Every time I see this thread in the Recent threads list, I'm a little thrilled because somebody might have found a new bit of info about the next-gen tablet...it's a bit of a let-down to see posts like the last few then.

I agree, here is a new home for this stuff.

What info's to be found by us has largely been found. The next bit you're either gonna spot in the news or on Engadget. ;)

Well, qgil suggested that you've missed something of some significance that is yet to be found by poking around in the non-kernel components of the alpha SDK.

Don't let those Sith Lords get you, qole. :D

Where did he say that? Give us a hint so we can target the searching! :)

I wish we had a more targeted hint. But no, just the comments of the new Sith Lord.

I did not follow all of the posts, so i am not sure if this already posted...

i've looked in the "gstreamer0.10-plugins-camera_0.30.tar.gz" and was hopping to find something about the resolution of the camera.
I found in the oamp34xxcam.c
Code:

...
static const gchar *scene_mode_names[] =
{
  "MANUAL", "CLOSEUP", "PORTRAIT", "LANDSCAPE", "UNDERWATER", "SPORT",
  "SNOW_BEACH", "MOOD", "NIGHT_PORTRAIT", "NIGHT_INDOOR", "FIREWORKS"
};
...
v4l2filter requests target format 2592x1944/V4L2_PIX_FMT_YUYV [v4l2:VIDIOC_S_FMT:V4L2_BUF_TYPE_VIDEO_CAPTURE]
...

2592x1944 pixel, is this an 5 MPixel resolution?
and i wonder what the "UNDERWATER" profile does ;)

Yes, the kernel changelog has quite a lot of information about the hardware.
