It might mean "candle-lit" (and "in the mood") :)

800x480 is also plenty for the screen. If some magic 3" screen had 2560 x 1600, you can't read the text without a microscope. Or, if you increase the font size to a readable size, it won't look much better than 800x480. my 2 cents worth.. |

I somehow doubt that we'll see optical zooms in an tablet, though...the last (and only thus far) time Nokia used it was with the N93(i), and it wasn't really worth the effort imho. Just added a lot of bulk & degraded image quality compared to the non-OZ N73 they offered at the same time.

The driver (+hw) could probably also move a shutter to cover the camera lens, or it might just have been an idea which they won't implement.
Here's a pointer to the device (Analogue Devices AD5820) and datasheet: http://www.taeus.com/ic_analysis_rep...=149&cat_id=10 |

I compared images from my six year old Olympus 3040Z (3.3Mpix) with my 1.5 year old Canon IS710is (8Mpix). The former had a better lens, and in good light the Oly results are better! Mobile phones lenses are good for maybe 2M images at best. Ask NASA what works! http://www.popsci.com/military-aviat...nboard-cameras |

As far as MP goes the higher it is the more you can see the quality of the lens.
It's also important to have good image processing to save a decent image, (assuming the lens isn't complete rubbish) http://www.popsci.com/military-aviat...nboard-cameras would that fit on the RX-51? ;-) |
