Now that we've extracted quite possibly everything that was there to be extracted, I'm wondering about the official name of the device.

Who exactly started rumours about "N900"?

I'm a bit skeptical about that being the official name, because the 770, the N800 and the N810 were not phones, so naming a new phone by Nokia (bearing in mind how niche a product Internet Tablets are) using a "new" Nxxx scheme isn't very likely is it?

On the other hand, it just might happen, because it is, after all, a completely new phone platform, so a new naming scheme would be a good place to indicate that, to break up with the past.

And obviously they are running out of double-digit numbers for their products, aren't they? :)

I'd guess it will be AMOLED indeed. There are currently only two other devices announced with 800x480 at 3.5", and they both feature AMOLED (Samsung Louvre B7610 and ASUS P835).

You would think that someone eventually would get the bright idea to peel the screen protection layer off so we could actually see the screen.
