Astrogirl, you should probably reflash your device to have the latest OS available. We're working on the next version of Canola, but as of now you should probably use beta9 which is available on extras. Having extras-devel enabled is usually not recommended, since things there are not as well tested and might cause you problems.

I had this problem not only with Canola 2, but also Garnet VM. Upgrading to Diablo fixed the missing libraries.
