pidgin and N770, how to make it work?
 

I have tried OS2006 with hot fix, clean install, no luck, pidgin just start and quit, no error message;
So I flash it to OS2007HE, clean install pidgin, only and 1 MSN account and it starts, connecting, and then said "internal error...close"
Any trick I am missing?

If Pidgin still does not work for you, I would suggest using GAIM on your Nokia 770. I installed GAIM on Nokia 770 with SU-18_2007HACKER_4.2008.7-1_PR_F5_MR0_ARM and so far it works well.

Older versions can be found at the bottom of the page. Version "pidgin-dist-2.1.0-2nix0" is currently running on my 770 (OS2006).

Maemo Gaim 1.5 is in the Gregale repository,and it works.
Also,just try Gizmo5! It has IM features as good as Pidgin.

Go to: http://www.solodovnikov.ru/pidgin_ma...cription.shtml and there is a 770 working Pidgin 2.5.1. No internal error (or "Alarm clock" in terminal) anymore :)
