MobileMe had its shortcomings in begin too, and is much more expensive, lol. Apple doesn't even support something like Ovi on OSX.

Can you run Ovi on the N810? I looked at a list of compatible devices and it wasnt listed.

ovi chat is just XMPP aka jabber, so you use the tablet's generic chat program.
