When I picked mine up in May I got one of the last ones in LA. Given Nokia's new ad campaign, my guess is that they are clearing out ITOS2005 stock for the new ITOS2006 inventory.

I thought they were just going to swich over to ITOS with a Downloadable upgrade. Too bad too, that some of the Software won't be available. Also I SURE hope they don't muck with the zoom feature. I'm going to stop into CompUSA tomorrow to see if they have a demo unit I can look at.

What about ordering straight from Nokia? I know that the local Compusa had a few left a week or so ago.

As horrible of a place as it might be (i'm still waiting for my frequent wallet-emptier discount card!), they have 770s. I was surprised to find one sitting out for a demo next to some of the other PDAs.

haven't checked their online site, outpost.com, for availability.

I got one direct from Nokia (USA), with, of course, the 2006 OS and the new slick documentation for it. No tax (unless Texas, I think) and free two-day shipping. They sent the same day I ordered.

Yeah, at least I got to go look at one at CompUSA, they didn't know when they'd be getting the new ones though it was fun seeing it. And yeah Fry's I'd bet would have some. But, I'm going to try the used route first someone in killeen, TX is selling one for $220 on craigslist. That'd be worth a greyhound trip up there, I don't drive as I'm legally blind and yeah thanks to it's 400% zoom I see web content on it with no problem.
