While I agree with the first premise, I couldn't possibly see that sort of connection. That's a HUGE stretch IMO.

I doubt any user will actually see this software. It is intended for the phone manufacturers.

It's not about the treasures, it's about the proprietary nuclear waste. And it's not a master race mentality, it's an evolutionary mentality.

There are some fantastic navigation softwares available on WinCE and everything that I have used on the tablet has been 2nd rate or at least the experience has been.
Navigate me to what? WinCE has no where to go, handheld GNU/Linux hasn't even hit its stride yet. But I do like watching Microsoft not giving up the ship, but the ship is sinking none the less.

Not to mention the library of thousands of programs already made for WinCE that don't exist on the Maemo platform.
A tidal wave is coming, you better get off that WinCE island and head for the Linux mainland.

I have liked my experience with Linux
We agree on something.

but why do so many people actually close their mind smaller than Microsoft just to defend Linux?
Not possible.

Truly, if you can embrace something from all OS's you will be better off for it.
Are you saying I need more than one operating system? This is where Microsoft and I might disagree with you.

edit: Reading this the next day, this was suppose to come across in a positive way but instead is kind of a-hole like. Just think happy thoughts when reading it and it should read just right.
I'm happy enough and it couldn't read more wrong.

So what kind of mood do I need to be in to read something broad-minded in your post? Maybe there is something to a "master race" mentality after all. Evolutionary? Hardly. Any student of the social sciences will tell you that few things are certain and evolution never, ever follows a straight path.

All OS' have some great programs. What's wrong with enjoying aspects of any that interest you? Maybe in the future Linux will become a hegemony along the lines of Windows 10 years ago. Maybe not. Although I believe in and have brand loyalty, the name of the company interests me less than if the product it offers is the best one for me.

God spoke to me and said it was time for Microsoft to go, and he asked if I wouldn't help spread the word. So, maybe you're right, maybe it isn't evolutionary, maybe it's just Intelligent Design.

Nice! What else are you meant to share? Other than the Linux tidal wave sweeping towards the Pacific Coast (blame El Nino)...

That might be it. He left me with the impression that once Microsoft was gone the rest would just work itself out. It's so true what they say about Him working in mysterious ways.

I wouldn't have bumped this thread if I knew this was going to happen.

You guys are like <major religion A> and <major religion B>.

Neither one of you are going to convince the other that they are wrong, so what's the point?

I just wanted some VMware on my tablet :-/

The scary part is we ignored you and responded to the February 28th post above yours. That's just lame. I think I gave myself the willys.
