Just a note about speed... If you haven't tried running the turbo-charged version with an image file, be prepared to be pleasantly surprised. Thanks to the dm-loop, there really isn't much speed difference between image file and partition any more. The main reason for the partition these days is to get yourself a bit more elbow room.

D'ohboy & qole, thanks for all your help. I have everything working fine. It was a corrupted package. After I downloaded it again, everything went very smoothly. Also, I agree that the speed is fine and not worth the effort to create a partition. Thanks again,
