I followed the link that you provided. When I tryed to install it would not. Since I have an N800 I added the "Diablo" repo. What can I try next?

@Den in USA: sorry I don't know the n800 at all. Might well be a permissions problem.

Does the n800 have sudo gainroot or an equivalent (that IIRC was red pill?) If so, then in a terminal you could try .

I can see the application in the repo. BTW, it is diablo lowercase not upper.

@HA, I used terminal, gained root, then tried the install string. Got several errors. Can you provide a link to the .deb "Diablo" file?

Help! Even when I download the .deb file from Diablo Extras-Devel, it would not install.

Assuming you were in a terminal (command line interface), what errors were given? If it could not find some or other dependency then that's indicates that the repositories are not accessible. If it is permission denied, then that is a rights issue. If the latter then what grants root rights on the n800?

Are you able to uninstall an application? Some small thing you do not mind not having, as a test.

I was in terminal and typed sudo gainroot, loads a "BusyBox" and I am then in the /home/user directory. When I typed apt-get install digiaatscene, it says "the following packages cannot be authenticated" I then type Y for "installing without verification. A license agreement comes up and I hit "ok". Then I get "errors were encountered while processing". Other errors like "broken pipe".

And yes, I can uninstall the older version.

@HA, I just uninstalled my older version and I could then install the latest version in "extras-devel". Thanks!!!!!!

OK, now what am I doing wrong! With my system sound set to max I get no sound in "digia@scene", "Mplayer" or "MyTube". The sound works with Media Player. I can though hear the "clicks" when touching buttons while in @scene. Help!

Solution to my sound problem:

Although I have no clue as to what caused my sound problem, I have figured out how to regain my sound. While viewing a soundless video in the digia@scene app, I started hitting various hardware keys. When I pressed the third button on the top left of my N800, a volume scale appeared onscreen and I keep hitting it until it showed 100%. Next, I ran my Mplayer App and hit the same button many times. When I ran MyTube it had already reset to max volume.

Version 1.2.4 in Diablo Extras Devel is awesome! I love how it plays everything in each of my "favorites" folders.

The digia@scence is very good software!
But I have a big problem with it by my n900. When i use 3G to
access,digia@scence doesn't work.( it can search videos with screenshot,
but when i click to play, all of videos can not be played with error
message "the video has been removed")

If i use wifi instead of 3G/3.5G, it works fine !
Can the problem be solved? i really want it works with 3G...

I would suspect your 3g operator is messing with your network connection...

Feature request - when viewing "Most recent" create an auto refresh every 5 minutes.

Also, when I "drag" a video from my "favorites" to a "playlist" it would be nice if you then remained in the "favorites" view after "dropping". Presently it switches to the "playlist" view and you have to click back to the "favorites" view.

the search function in digisceen, you u search something was on 2 or 3 or 4 pages then after click view a youtube hit back then u have to start over again for searching

Hi All,

So it seems that YouTube API has changed again, just to hurt all players...

Google says they 'do no evil', but this is becoming close...

We need to look into this. For the while being @scene can only play local videos.

Hi All,

Now we have fixed @scene. Some testing today and if there are no issues found we will make a release to maemo.org extras-devel shortly.

Since the YouTube API seems to be changing regularly I think it is best to take away from extras and app catalog now, just keep it in extras-devel. What do you think?

Whatever happened to the idea/plans to have a way to quickly push through updates to the proper extras repository? It's a bit silly when it's as slow to push through an update as it is for Nokia to update firmware.. :)

Since the current version is broken, removing it is not a bad idea, but I would still promote the new version when it's suitable, even if you do need to take it away again.
Otherwise I might start thinking extras-devel is not a dangerous place to be in ;-)

the new version crashes upon launching it, then freezes the phone for ~20 seconds after crashing.

In my N900 I do not have that directory at all. Only "/media/mmc1" I do not have a clue why it tries to use mmc2 in your case. You could check what you have in Settings. I have: Settings->General options->Storage location "/home/user/MyDocs"

The new green skin is.... I don't know..... I liked the purple one better... (maybe you can add some options to change the skin colors?)

Anyway, this vesion is MUCH slower on my device.
kinetic scroll goes much slower.
it lags when trying to press the volume buttons..
Also: there is still that "green" screen coming out every couple seconds.

In the past week, the videos no longer load.
The search function works fine.
Anything I tried to download says "Download Failed."
Anything I tried to view says "Video Has Been Removed."

Is anyone else having similar issues? Maybe youtube changed how their API and the app has to adjust how it accesses them?
