I'd never really used tomboy/gnote on the desktop, but having it on my phone which is with me and on all the time makes having a tool like this much more useful. This is a killer app for me, thanks.

I've put version 0.6.3.15 into extras-devel. It has some interesting new features regarding sync, so please please be extra carefully and create backups of all your notes before using!

New in this version:

• Notes that have been deleted on the server are now also deleted locally.
• Notes that have been deleted locally are now also deleted on the server.

That means, that sync support is almost complete now. The only thing missing is conflict handling and some polish. Please test it and give feedback here. If there will be no serious issues, I'll but it in "beta" mode soon. Also I hope to do a new release with sync for Extras (without -devel) soon.

Other changes during the last weeks that might be interesting:

• New authentication mechanism. It now works with every browser, even with MicroB on Diablo.
• Sync on Diablo and Chinook is working again.
• Plugins are only shown if there is more than one plugin installed.
• Template notes are now hidden.
• New keyboard shortcut Ctrl+l for linking.
• New "underline" text style (Ctrl+u).
• Unknown tags are preserved. (That's only relevant if you use non-standard Tomboy plugins.)

Damn, there was a small regression, which prevented authentication in some cases. 0.6.3.16 is on it's way and should be available in about 20 minutes.

hey conny, thx for the continued progress in conboy. Since ctrl + u is now for underline, what is used for fullscreen shortcut?

That's a good one of course. Only problem is that in Tomboy it's used for inserting a line break in a bullet list without creating a new bullet. Not sure if I should sopport that as well, though.

Alternatives?
