I downloaded the update, but when installing it stops and says unable to install. Any ideas?

I don't think the version in the repo is correct. I never got an update alert and after updating to 0.3.1-2 via the link an update alert appeared. So I install that which was indeed -1 again according to the help menu. I reinstalled -2 from bundyo's link and thr update icon has reappeared.

Do you have enough space? Installed fine for me. Try redownloading.

Re: Tear 0.3.1 - a would be beta WebKit based browser

I love the browser, but might I make two suggestions?

1. The ability to bind the zoom keys to scrolling - your fingers are naturally there when you have the device rotated clockwise and there's a good chance that you have your fingers there if you are holding the device like a gameboy. Especially with the device rotated clockwise it would seem only natural that they would be used for scrolling

2. The ability to change clicking links into a long click operation (either having clicks between xx and xxxx milliseconds registers as normal clicks or even just adding it to the right click menu when its activated would be my approaches).. I misclick a lot of links and I would imagine that this is not an uncommon problem.

Re: Tear 0.3.1 - a would be beta WebKit based browser

I don't know whether this has been reported so far,
and since this thread has grown to a monster again,
I simply ask here:

Logging in to eBay doesn't work, because after acknowledging the login mask,
Tear asks to save a file (maybe it's a cookie).
Unfortunately the file name includes a question mark, which is questionable enough,
but that's not all: I can't save that file, so no login possible.
Is there a new/fixed version available?

And is there a way to clear and manage the different history windows?

Thanks

It did this for me when updating through the App Manager. Using Bundyo's .deb gives no such problems.

I always had this problem, but since I updated to the new Webkit (Bundyo's .deb from the page before) it's been fine.

I believe a workaround was mentioned shortly after that question was first asked. What I do is login to eBay mobile (the WAP version), which works fine. After that I can navigate to the full myEbay URL and it seems to pick up the session cookie and it works (most of the time at least :-).

No, this hasn't been fixed, but since the problem is related to missing content-type, I've set a default one and the download dialog seems to not show up (but the problem still remains in most places (like on PHPBB3 posts)). Hns proposed similar solution before, but i've tried to fix it directly in libwebkit. Didn't work much though.

Tear no longer starts from the command line:

Code:

*** glibc detected *** /usr/bin/tear: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0x409b9ba8 ***
Aborted
