Hi, just checking in. I hope to have a great time. :)
Seems like a good community established and I'm glad to now be a part of it. I've browsed your forums for months now, following all the updates to the n900. Now I finally just ordered my n900. |

Re: New members say hello !
After lurking around the forums for quite a while, I think it's prolly time I made my way over here
Hey there guys, I'm eiraku and I'm using an N900 that (figuratively speaking) fell from the sky. And I was trying so hard to decide between it and the Milestone too, glad God dumped me the N900 and decided for me. (For the record, got it as a gift and I did not, in any way, procure it illegally :D ) Enjoying the N900 immensely, bugs and all. |

Hi everyone,
I am ahsan frm london. registered today as i am having problems upgrading my firmware OTA. thanks |
Re: New members say hello !
Hi Ahsan, welcome to the forum. There's more on here than just tech support, but ask away in the appropriate thread. Do search first though, you're more likely to get a response in an existing thread rather than a new one.

Re: New members say hello !
I've posted here a few times, but haven't said hi yet.
Hi! I've had my N900 for 4 weeks today, on Vodafone UK. And I really like it! I was disappointed when I found out that Vodafone have a custom version of the firmware and are not prompt with update releases, so I've just flashed it to to the generic UK PR1.2. |

Re: New members say hello !
Hey guys & girls?
I just have my N900 like 1 day. Already upgrade and running easy debian. :) I had regret i sold my Nokia N95 8GB. Symbian is such a nice oS comparing to the rest. I might go and try develop my own apps etc. But we'll see :D Cheers! |
Re: New members say hello !
I've also posted a few messages but never said hello. So, hello! :D
I bought my N900 on January, and I use it way, way too much. The device is great, but the real deal here is the fantastic community. I also appreciate highly as some of the people from Nokia (Quim Gil, Harri Hakulinen) devote their time to take part on conversations. The whole thing here, users, programmers and designers interacting with each other is pretty unique. I hope Nokia understands this too, as N900 is more than just a phone or tablet. It's a community. |
Re: New members say hello !
Hello all,
My name is Dan and I have an emotional problem. I bought an N900 a week or so back and love it, being somewhat familiar with linux/terminal I'm excited about the potential of this phone, I also love the hardware. BUT I just can't get rid of my trusty N95, it's battered, it's bruised but it is the Millenium Falcon of mobiles. All joking aside I do really like the N900 especially its view of SMS/IM being essentially the same and the integration of Google Voice/Skype/GTalk. My irritations so far are that the media parts of it (camera options, music playlists) seem to be behind the N95/Symbian. I suppose part of the fun/challenge of this phone is that if there is something you don't like, then learn to code and change it! That's an incredibly freeing concept for a consumer, especially in the very closed world of mobile phones. As for the MeeGo "what's next?" issue, my belief is that phone OS development will follow a Mozilla/Netscape model (open vs commercial not successful vs choked by the competition!). Anyway, psyched to have the device. Cheers |

A little about myself. I've been hacking with Linux for 6 years. I used to be in the IT game so I have lots of tricks up my sleeves. But for the last 2 years I've worked in the marine and aviation safety industry. |
Re: New members say hello !
Hello all. I thought I'd also pop by to say hello. New to the n900 but loving it already. Being a Unix admin Linux is not completely strange to me, programming and development however is. On the other hand I appreciate the hard work of the guys here. I think they do an incredible job on this great hardware.
