Yup, I didn't think so because it's designed as a phone and it comes with the smaller screen (OLED based with black themes to boot).

But all 3G phones I have (3GS, HTC G1, BB Bold) just flush out the battery when they transfer 3G data... so I wouldn't underestimate the potential powerdrains either.

Yes, that hard drive icon sure is mysterious. Are those two gauges referring to his internal and external memory?

That's the load-applet, IIRC correctly the left one is CPU usage and the right one RAM/swap. You can already try it yourself in the SDK :-)

Aha, it is just a generic GNOME icon, the "Document Save" icon, to be specific. Probably a placeholder, with a better icon to be inserted later...

I guess that the "later" will happen only if somebody makes a better one, because load-applet isn't official Nokia software

Then I propose one of the following equally generic, free icons:

Proper place to propose is probably here:
https://garage.maemo.org/projects/load-applet/

edit:
or maybe this will get more attention https://bugs.maemo.org/buglist.cgi?product=Load+Applet

I haven't looked at the source, but it might be the equivalent of the chip/floppy overlaid icon in previous versions, ie meant to indicate that swap is in use.

Er, yeah, since when, exactly? The Sony part listed in the kernel is transflective. . . .

So basically its like any smartphone out there, heavy use will require daily charge, I'm guessing that I will have to have a charger at work, in the car etc for all the playing I'm going to be doing on this thing :D
