where can i download the e2fsporgs?
 

i am newer to n810,i wanna clone the OS to mmc for dual boot. I do it follow this wiki:http://wiki.maemo.org/Booting_from_a_flash_card.My problem is that i add Extras-devel (http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras#Extras-devel) and run: apt-get install e2fsprogs,it shows the sourcelist is wrong,so i replace the "#" to "/",run again,it didn't find e2fsprogs,could somebody tell where is the download source,thanks

commands are as follow,
This is for a 2 G SD in external slot, the slot behind the kick stand, not the one next to the battery compartment, will partition into 0.8G/FAT and 1.2G/ext2. FAT is your storage, able to be read by PC/windows and ext2 is where the tablet OS lives.

2) Format FAT

well,GeraldKo,i use the guide which show in your post,when i went into the Red Pill Mode,and installed becomeroot successful ,but e2fslibs failed,it said that incompatible application package,why?

My OS version is 5.2008.43-7,i think it the lastest version

I have the same question, and I'm not a newbie. Where's e2fsprogs for Diablo? There's a package for Chinook only. Why hasn't someone put it into the Diablo repo?

EDIT: Same goes for e2fslibs!

Diablo's Extras-devel has 'em both, but Diablo's Extras only has two libs from it so the rest just need promoting. :)

qwerty12: Please, can you fix the situation? Extras-devel is a useless place for those libraries. I can tell 'newbies' to add Chinook repos, but I wouldn't dare tell them to add Extras-devel.

I'm surprised that they aren't fully promoted actually. I don't see why they shouldn't be promoted as I think e2fsprogs has been tested enough now. :)

I'll be happy to promote them in the morning when I'm on a computer but if you wish to do it now (I believe you've got Extras upload permissions too ;)).. :)

Ah, you upload to non-free (not by choice). :)

It's pretty easy: go to https://garage.maemo.org/promoter/diablo and find the e2fsprogs section and tick it (and its dependencies) to be uploaded. :)

Just wait a bit -- qwerty12 will fix it so you can get it from Extras.

apt-get install e2fsprogs

EDIT: I just followed qwerty12's instructions, so they should be available soon!

well,apt-get can find e2fsprogs,but there is two depends libs,libcomerr2 and libss2.apt-get can't find them,any suggestion?:(

This sucks. It turns out that "blkid" is missing from the maemo e2fsprogs. I really need that program. Can someone put that in for me? Please?

I know the 1.40 in the debfarm repository has blkid included. Maybe we can have that version in Diablo extras too?
