sadly, i dont think this is in extras, but rather on a private repo. Not sure why...

the install file from here should add the correct repo to application manager:

Very nice! The sound recorder has alot of potential. Saves to a .sqrec extention which requires that you play through the application. There is an export feature that will convert the file to a wave file. Both types require about 1 mb per minute of recording time. Would be nice to save straight to an mp3 file. Has adjustable microphone gain (picks up voices across the room). Must hit three buttons to begin a recording (must choose your folder first, every time). I look forward to the next version!

actually, I was thinking WAV file for starters and then you could always convert to lesser codec like mp3.

Also, if the default to record a new note allowed you to push record FIRST and then assign a name and location after, it would be better for spontaneous note gathering.

Finally, prefs and settings that would default to whatever the user sets each time the app is started would be great.

What is the trick to getting Seqretary PIM Suite to run using Personal Launcher? I have "Executable: /user/bin/seqretary". Runs OK from terminal.

This may not help you but, you know, it launches just fine from Personal Menu.
