Hi Ed.

I gave one of my new N800s to my GF today.

I did the whole force depends thingy for your GTK version and had her notifications set to SMS for every minute.

It was being all poopy for some reason. She couldn't respond to any messages because it would keep saying something about not being able to retrieve any information.

So anyway, I upgraded (Gonvert first then DC) to version 1.3.5.

She still had her notifications left on from the old GTK release of yours during this time.

To get to my point, every time she receives a new message now, the light blinks and there is simply no way for this to stop unless I go to Control Panel --> Display, then uncheck all notifications.

Is there a bug in your latest version or did I mess up somehow when I upgraded?

Cheers buddy. :)

You can try to get a personal number here:

You will need a US number, usually people use a SIP one like Addison pointed out though they had closed registration at one point. Once you get one configure it on the GV site and then in the menu go to "Account" and select the callback.

Any chance on getting another update for DC with a fix for notifications, Ed?

Also, can you confirm CTRL R works in refreshing messages as well?

My script thingy I mentioned earlier still doesn't work for some reason.

I'm guessing you are using background rather than application alerts? I think there is a bug there with those. I'm creating a fix but in the mean time you can use the other alarm type. The downside is you have to have DC running but the upside is what information I download to check for new messages also gets used in refreshing the UI, so fewer downloads.

So I've still not figured out why keyboard shortcuts don't work on Maemo 4.1 but I did fix the LED issue. A slight copy-paste bug where when telling it to turn off I would instead tell it to turn on. Packages being sent to the auto builder
