I'd say it's the other way 'round :) At least for me, having the light meter enabled makes Advanced Backlight a little funky (if the screen goes to sleep, upon tapping it the light level will be that of the default, and not the AB one - I need to touch AB to restore it's level).

I see that too unless I set the default light meter to the minimum, at which point AB has complete control of the level.

Oh, that's interesting. I didn't know that setting the meter to minimum would do that. I'll have to check that out. :)

the light sensor on n810 is evil.
as a leftie my hand covers that corner of the screen extremely often leading to a regular change in the screen brightness.
i added a hardhack to rectify:

a little sticker covering the sensor (brought back from jacob after school)

Ok, got an idea while I was out at my dad's today that I think would be a good application. Since the n810 has a light sensor on it, why not have it setup so that it changes the screen brightness based on the available light. In other words, the darker the room, the lower the light, the brighter the room (or outdoors) the brighter the screen.

In case you are not aware of another such idea that plays with the light sensor - here it is ... this app locks the N810 when you cover the Light sensor (like when you slide the N810 into its cover). Great app.
