Some changes in the proprietary protocols (ICQ and Yahoo if I remember correctly).

So, this fixes the issue with connecting to yahoo...where we had to switch to useing the cn.scs server to get it to connect?

Stupid question here but when searching the forums I came up with nothing.

What is the correct size for the icon display of your personal avatar under Pidgin?

Is it 32x32, sizeable, or something else?

I can't login YM after update 2.5.8 version. I try to chang server from cn.scs... to scs... so nothing new

Depends upon the protocol, but I believe it's anything up to 96x96.

have you also update the libpurple0 into 2.5.8 version?
because updating pidgin from the AppManager, doesn't mean automaticaly update the libpurple0 package
