Talked with a VLC developer and that asf bug has been reported and there's a gsoc project to fix asf. Tried other muxers like ts, ogg and asfh and none of them worked with gstreamer, so with VLC > 1.1 you can use Browser (flv) profile, but it's far from ideal for HD material. And you need to install extra-decoders package for it to work.

And according to the developer, VLC will have gpu transcoding help for Windows and Linux, so hopefully HD over 3G will be possible for people without insane hardware.

PS. Anyone tried Browse by path from git on Windows?

Yeah, it works but it is (at least for me) very slow.

Same here - but not slower than "usual" :)

Yeah, guess I'd need to collect all unique paths to a different table to make it faster, but i'm more tempted to remove it completely :p

Knots is great! I have updated my server a couple of days ago. I see that Knots can now search for images. Thats a great feature, but I have some problems with it. When I try to add a folder and select in which category the images must be placed, Knots doesn't scan the folder. The next time when I select the folder, Knots is set to don't scan the folder for images.

Have you ran the ./scripts/migrate or Migrate.cmd after updating?

Grab the latest installer and overwrite your old install and click on the Reset profiles button. Then install the 0.3.2 client by clicking this link with the N900 browser and you should be good to go.

discovered problem has to do with using mp2v codec in n900 profile. when using n8x0 profile (xvid) or tablet browser (flv1) it is working on n900. changed settings in n900 profile in server from video mp2v to xvid and now it is working again.
