Sorry, no netflix support since I can't access it from Finland. And yes, you can add several songs to playlist, if you use the client from -devel. It has an menu option for Results -> Add to playlist that will add all visible items to playlist. You can use search to narrow down what to add.

EDIT: Promoted 0.2.8 to extras so no need to use -devel.

awesome stuff Ukki! Got a playlist of all my music, now it's time to start ripping DVDs!
Is it possible to display a functional dvd menu thru knots to the tablet? When vlc plays a dvd, i have a dvd menu in vlc, but when i try to play the dvd thru knots (added drive to collection) i go a blank video that is 40 secs long, and just keeps starting over when it gets to 6 seconds.

No, it's not possible to transcode the menus to tablet allowing selections to be made etc. I use the dvdsimple:// protocol of VLC that should play just the movie part and allow you to skip to next chapter if it's a tv-serie. Have you tried with several DVDs? Can you try to import this to your collection and see if it plays?

EDIT: I made some changes to N900/3G profiles in git, anyone with a super computer and hd material want to test if it plays HD well? On my OS X it played all my 720p/SD material without audio/video sync issues and I'd like to know if it works better for some of you too. I will promote the new client to -extras soon and would like to get the default N900 profile in shape.

i have a problem
i have installed it on n900 and on pc.
everythings is working, i can see the folders on n900
i can play audio files alright,

but i am unable to play videos. the videos starts for about 30 secs with just audio and then stops.

please any body knows something about this ???

hey i have a prob, cant see videos using n900 profile. it plays the sound but no video. changing the profile to browser works but the quality is poor.
it played hd files smooth before with n900 profile. any fix ?

Do you both have the clients from extras? I will promote a new client to extras this weekend and and release a new server that should fix your issues, but if you scroll back few pages there is fix on how to install the client from testing and reset the profiles.

If you have the latest server installed, try clicking on the "Reset profiles" button under Settings -> Transcoding profiles and it should start using the h264 profiles instead of the old N900 profile. Passthrough-profile should play normal SD material fine too.

It plays high bitrate 1080p just fine on my rig, but the sync remains the same I'm afraid. :(

Care to elaborate on why those extra parameters to x264 should help sort out the sync problems?

Btw, I suggestion: When adding scanned folders - could you move the "Close" button up top, so you don't have to scroll way down past all the files/folders to do so?

Whooops, I think I spoke too soon. The new profile wasn't in effect when I tested. It DOES in fact seem to have helped! Awesome.

But I think I found a bug - it seems to consistenly freeze the picture if you skip BACKWARDS in time (forward works) - while audio updates just fine.
