I have the same issue...it must be another program? dependencies?

DO i have to delete programs one by one?

Well. had 211 packages. I removed progrmas and tested. Could not save any xournal files.... I am @ 79 packages now. confused look.

I decided to root into terminal, and ran Xournal from the prompt. Then did a save, and Xournal closed, and then the stuff below spit out in the terminal.

hmm...something is different...

I did a search on the error codes I was getting and I saw some of the same error with a user of Maepad...I installed Maepad, started it, it asked to create New File / Open File or Quit. If I click New or Open, it shuts down!...ran as user and the output is below.

~ $ maepad

Did Dbus get screwed up? What did I do?

wierd....hope that gives a clue into the problem..

I'm working on it. I'll have more time this weekend and I'll talk to anidel too. It's going slowly. I believe that once I get it to build things will speed up.

Anidel:
I have recovered my N900 from the brink of death but when I try to build it I get strange things like "/usr/.../autom4te" not found. BUT IT IS THERE! And at the path where the tools are looking. And it isn't a link. It's the actual file.

Would it be possible to move the toolbar in Xournal to the top so you don't press it accidently with your writing hand ?

I am really sorry guys for being so slow :(
Now I am moving to Montreal :/

The dbus issue is not Xournal related, it's some other app and I can't figure out what is it...

About movint it to top..mmm right under the menu?

Hope Montreal treats you well.

As to the Dbus and other app. It affects Maepad also. I can't create a new database and use that. I guess it's the whole "devel" thing. :o I did go through and remove a whole bunch of programs, but that did not resolve the Dbus issue.

Thanks for trying! Thanks for the program! and spending some of your time porting/creating it for the N900! We do appreciate your (developers of all types) hard work!
