I think the cellphone questions were an attempt to try to ascertain the "early adopterness" of the respondent, not so much how you felt about cellphones.
(BTW, I have really become dependent on my SE P910i smartphone, but then, my memory realy sucks. Oh, and I bought it on eBay, about a year after the initial launch, so you can guess the majority of my replies in that particular section of the survey)
