I got the lesson as well :) Maemo community isnt mature and do not ready to go out of the sandbox. Sad, really sad. Because without strong community I do not believe in any success of Maemo in real world.

You're really inferring that about the tens of thousands of members of the Maemo Community based on a dozen or so posters in this particular thread?

Yes, keep the self-righteousness coming, guys. That's definitely going to help the community.

There's always a vocal mass, be it "decent" or "rude" people.

Until this thread I had no experience of rudeness at all on this forum. On the other hand I'm new around here. :P

Hey Eldar, let me square away a few things and then I'm off.

I respect your dedication, passion and interest. It's clear you love what you do and that at least a good part of your motivation is to inform others. For that I can respect you and your work.

But I also disagree with certain statements and actions on your part, and I believe I am obligated to express them... especially since you have passed blanket condemnation on the community at large.

I believe that once we get past this unfortunate episode that you will find a way to fit in here and be accepted by enough people to make it worth your while. Or you may conclude that your opinion of the community is accurate and disengage. Your choice. But if you do choose to stick around, it might help you to avoid grandiose statements, especially about members here.

Finally, many of my comments were made half in jest, and I realize may not have translated well. My apologies for that.

On another note, I would love to sit down to some good vodka with you and swap stories. Finlandia, right? ;)

You don't have to visit as a consumer (or combatant :p)... you could just visit. And seriously, you never know what signal you could sift from the noise.

What did you expect? You're the one who's got all the devices :D

Come back after a couple of months if you're interested in new apps, though. Give the devs a chance to have the N900 in their hands for a while.
