wow i think someone need to take that email from amazon forward it to Nokia and ask them if this will happen also with direct pre-orders from Nokia because i definitely have the money now and will spend it on something else.

Yeah. And maybe forward it to CNN and the pope, too.

I just watched a video and I can't say I'd prefer the HD2 over the n900... it's just too massive...

let's all cancel our orders and make Nokia wait for us to order again instead of us waiting for them :D

just let them feel how we are about to cry :(

Re: Did Your N900 Ship Today?

Honestly, I should thank Nokia for the, uhm, "fluid" release date. Otherwise I'd have to actually pretend I am working. Playing N900 release date thread dirty tag scrabble is much better.

Ghule 2009-10-14 18:03

Re: Did Your N900 Ship Today?

We could cancel and reorder once a week.

Re: Did Your N900 Ship Today?

Yeah and then watch as the millions of others who don't pay attention to this thread or forum get their orders and Nokia's revenue doesn't even feel a kink. lol then we'll have to reorder and it'll be back of the line.

My Amazon Account still lists it as shipping on 26th Oct, but if you access the device via search, it now says 2nd Nov. My guess is that they havent updated the accounts information yet.

Nokia did this with the last device I bought from them, so much so that the phone was eventually nick-named 'Godot' when I got it. Now I recall, I swore then I would never buy another nokia. Weak-willed fool that I am. *Sigh*

The calm rational part of me says I'd rather they get the thing right before shipping than send it out half-cooked. My non-rational side is stomping its feet and throwing a full scale hissy fit.

never rely on the dates of third party distributors they just give conservative estimations to keep people off there back,
only take notice once nokia start fulfilling the shipments of there own pre-order backlog b/c usually the week after sites like amazon start shipping too

Well, they are probably too busy laughing to do anything else. Either that or intentionally pushing back the release date to see what this thread devolves to :p

Ok, Nokia. That's it. We're going on strike and will not update this thread for your amusement any longer. No more posts until you supply us with a REAL supply date.

There definitely wouldn't be devices sitting in the warehouses of retailers weeks before the sales begin.

No, they're going to come pouring out of Nokia with the latest firmware on them and for the first while, I bet nobody's going to actually have many in stock, since they'll come into the warehouse and immediately go out again to get all sticky in your hands...

I will be so pissed* if Expansys actually deliver my N900 in October. It'll go to Trinidad, but I'm away from there until 9th November.

Imagine an N900 sitting in a box in my office, unloved.

Re: Did Your N900 Ship Today?

Kinky Peter is so hot when he's reading about fictional hardware poetry so we all paid a private investigator to spy on him with time killer spy satellite. Private investigator, called Godot said "gimmie-gimmie-gimmie the money first, and then i'll go just around the corner to spy on him with my special driller machine". So we paid him with our money from funny tag competition and then we searched for term "fixed in harmattan" in our tweets showcase. Godot said that Peter said that he'll wait for n920, because he isn't sure is it here yet??? So, we said to Godot that he should watch Peter and not listen what he is saying because we didn't pay for that. If he continues to listen what he is talking about we'll take our money back and buy a time killer book called "N900 & prejudice".
wtf?

Re: Did Your N900 Ship Today?

I'm gonna boycott watching videos and reading about the n900 for a while (This thread not included; not like there's any news about n900 on this thread anyway ;) )...

The reason I'm doing this is because I'm tired of waiting for the phone!

I've been waiting for the phone so eagerly that I've probably watched all the videos on youtube on n900 and all the links posted at maemo talk... I actually want to have some amazement when I get the phone. You know the feeling of not being able to control your phone very well, and not knowing what button does what under a different menu. I feel like I already know too much to fully enjoy all the functions that come with the phone/tablet...

My 2c...
