Kind of like Windows Vista ;). Compensate through hardware rather than efficient code.

People with current Android phones that do not have DSP in the chipsets will be let down by their current perceptions of Flash 10.1.

I have read enough to figure out that though more efficient, 10.1 is still a resource queen and needs the DSP assist to be smooth in regards to a full Flash experience.

Android overhead (bite' code, etc) will drag 10.1 to its knees.

Enough of that! When are we gettin' them thar' N900s? :D

Yep! Have been since Android ;)

I have a degree in computer electronics, but my spelling is not that bad ;)

On a serious note: You non-English folks that write English better than many people that I know truly scares me

Handy though for communities like this :)

I know a lot of dirty words in other languages. I was in the Marines, so used to people speaking their minds ;)

That's because it isn't a 'Select Region', and probably the regions that are select have been getting a ton of pre-order sales.

So i guess it seems like Denmark, is one of the selected markets? As it seems like its going to be released next week, if the shops have the right date :P

There's a video floating around here, I'll find in a bit when I'm on my coffee break and get it for you. It's basically a Nokia rep stating which regions it will be released in.

Sorry if I'm repeating something on the last dozen pages or so, but I've been away working for a few days - in London.

So I decide to try the flagship store. I fought my way through the crushing avalanche of people getting on and off the tube near there for ... No joy :(
The guy I spoke to stated a 2nd November release date for the UK, and they were expecting some demo units in a couple of weeks.

Re: Did Your N900 Ship Today?

We're just having fun...we are all on edge because we want our N900--it's like we're little kids wanting that Christmas toy that everyone else wants, and when the time comes to get it, it's pulled away with a big fat 'NO SOUP FOR YOU'

nope?

in selected markets could mean anything. they could ship 2 devices to very poor country and nobody buys those. it would still be "in selected markets".

you just put your dreams to the expression and intrerpeted that slogan by your own without any valid facts, only speculation.
