Where is xterm ?
Hellow,
I'm new here :) I've sucessfully downloaded and installed Maemo 5 final SDK. The virtual device works fine. I've a little problem : I can't find the xterm application in the virtual device :p Thanks for any answer :) |
Re: Where is xterm ?
fakeroot apt-get install osso-xterm

Re: Where is xterm ?
Small reply, big help :)
Thanks :) |
Re: Where is xterm ?
interesting.. how would I go about doing that without the external terminal, using only the xephyr window?
|
Re: Where is xterm ?
You do it from the terminal you ran /scratchbox/login in.

Re: Where is xterm ?
@alex that would be the external terminal I didn't want to use.
@Hogwash well, on the device you have neither. I guess you need the chicken maker machine (app manager) and the right tools for it (extras repository perhaps?) I think I have some issues with my sdk. the app manager doesn't seem work properly. |
Re: Where is xterm ?
I think the device comes with xterm preinstalled.
I too have found the SDK app manager to be well whipped and buggered. I install what I need from the scratchbox console with apt-get Why doesn't apt-get have a "search" feature like yum? Suckage. |
