I was wondering if you could tell me where you bought your n900 from?
Local pick up? or ordered online?
Thanks

I actually have a buddy who stays in rochester during the week, so I pre-ordered from Amazon.com with my canadian credit card/billing address and had it shipped to his place in Rochester.

The other option I guess is expansys, though it is substantially higher, around 700 - 800 CDN as opposed to 650 CDN from Amazon after taxes, I wish I got on that dell deal though.

Check the other thread where MobileCityOnline will make much more sense then expansys which is a real rip-off...

If you're ordering via the states, good luck with those 'brokerage' fees.

Here's a cost calculator to find the final price of your US purchase.

Wow, Capt'n, that's a really good calculator. It helps explain why the no-hassle companies like expansys.ca often seem so much more expensive until you get the final bill.

Easiest way for Canadians to get it would be to simply cross the border into the U.S. , walk into a Besy Buy and purchase one, then take it home. Yes, Best Buy will have them, they've already got it listed on their website.

I've always found USPS to be the most reasonable way to get something through brokerage. $5.70 quoted there on a $100 order.

Tell me about it... I've done quite a bit of shipping from the states, and my first bill was a real shocker. My jaw hit the ground when my first few back-to-back orders that I thought were a 'deal' cost hundreds of dollars more than I had expected.

When buying from the states, ebay is king. Many retailers ship USPS which has a flat rate brokerage cost (something in the order of $5, last time I checked).

Any update on Canadian retailers carrying the N900?

It's almost as if Canada has been forgotten!
