Anyone been following the live review of the n900 done over at:
http://www.umpcportal.com/live/ Pretty objective, they are testing the device live on video, no fanboy or marketing BS |

Re: Discussion for the n900 live review
Interesting contrarian comments in the summary that Maemo is not quite so open despite being Linux based because it is not as easy to customize for normal users as other OS and is only available on one device. Counterintuitive but correct according to their definition of openness.

Re: Discussion for the n900 live review
The only thing that had me kind of worried was the fact he had problems with the various media file types.

Re: Discussion for the n900 live review
comments on Windows mobile being easy is a load of croc.
I had one forced on me by the company for a couple of years. The reason its easy is cause it doesn't do anything useful, even if its not sucking your battery dry. And it certainly does not have intuitive menus ....ever tried to do a blutooth paring ,or switch from 3g to wifi now that is hard work, actually even answering a call was hard work. Thank goodness for mail for exchange, now I do the corporate thing on my E71 (soon to be N900) Mike C |
