Re: FlipClock Beta
Okay guys, 0.9.7-7 is the one you want... it's in extras-devel for both Diablo and Fremantle... Spenc3 and I have been testing it all afternoon and it's definitely working and installing properly...
Feel free to just upgrade using application manager, but make sure you're getting 0.9.7-7... So go to town, enjoy, and give us some feedback! Bugs should be reported on the official bug tracker on the garage page: https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/?at...51&func=browse Thanks! |

Re: FlipClock Beta
Wow, very impressed with version 0.9.7-7 Diablo! After rigorous alarm testing, I found only two imperfections.
Both occur when using FM radio for alarm. First, the sound level jumps in steps that are too big, not like the smooth steps for mp3 music file. Second, sometimes the radiio comes on and then stops after less than one minute while the “Alarm Off” box is still displayed. Otherwise, GREAT APP! |
Re: FlipClock Beta
ive never been able to get it to work. any build. just closes
...actually, idk if closes is the right way to word it because it never even loads. |

There's a significant issue with UTF-8 in the application. As I've reported before, the displayed text messes up non-latin date's if a nonlatin locale is used. So this persists. On top of that, alarms work now on the N900, great man! Howerer, if the file used for the alarm has nonlatin, i.e. UTF-8 text in it's path, i.e. I have tried with Japanese and Russian folder names and songnames, the alarm is not gonna play, i.e. it cannot access the file, since it also messes up the folder or file name when selected. You can select the folder and file, however the displayed name is again garbage, i.e. not properly UTF-8 decoded, and doesn't play. The only way 'round this currently, if you have these folders and filenames, is to symlink them to plain ASCII folders and files, then the alarm plays. So, I'd recommend if possible to address UTF-8 support in the app if time permits. However, thanks for the great app! Very good indeed! |
