Try "fremantle" instead of "Fremantle" (small "f").

Welcome to the forums, XfrostX!

What chase said is correct, there is a program called Haze which will allow you to import msn/yahoo/aim/etc. contacts directly into the n900's interface.

One thing that chase did not mention is that Haze is currently in the Extras-Devel repository. This means that the app is still in the development stage, and it is generally considered not ready for public release. If you wish to add the Extras Devel repository to your device you are more than able to by following http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-devel that link.

HOWEVER, please note that these programs are not stable, and come with the possibility of bricking your device. Please procede with extreme caution if you aren't a power user/developer, as most regular users don't feel like reformating/reflashing their device should something go wrong.

@Chapbass... thanks for clarifying that, all noobs need to beware of the dangers of the devel.

However, @XfrostX, you can use a plugin called butterfly that is in the Extras-Testing repository. This means its out of development stage but is not fully tested and hence not recommend for noobs. You need to enable the extras-testing repo (http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing).

Then go into App Manager, download, all & look for account-plugin-butterfly / account-butterfly-plugin (I can't remember the exact name of it!)

Hope this helps!

Re: n900 im app

Nirave, does butterfly have aim? I didn't try it but from what I was reading I thought butterfly only had msn. Hence why I took the jump and tried out haze, but I'd rather do one in testing than devel if i can.

Butterfly only has MSN. Haze can do AIM (and MSN but probably not file transfers).
