I had pidgin integration with contacts working, but now it says "Network error"
Pidgin alone = working Pidgin integration = not working |

What is the best MSN plugin that works with PR1.1 in these days?

Haze, though it will eat your battery pretty quick...

installed latest version of pidgin and have two problems, First, when adding a new account, the drop down for selecting doesn't work, I had press and hold in order to select anything otherwise it just keep stuck at Aim. Secondly, neither msn nor yahoo ever connects.
Any suggestion? |

As for msn it is hit or miss sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. Annoying at times...

Do you know if there will be a solution for this? |
Re: [Maemo 5] Instant Messaging (IM) Client? AIM, GTalk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, Yahoo, etc.
Since I couldn't get pidgin to play nice, I un-installed it and reinstalled "Extra protocol plugins" and setup yahoo and msn accounts. everything worked fine but today I'm unable to send a new im to my msn contacts. When i try to create a new IM for msn contacts nothing happens. Yahoo contacts work fine.
Any suggestions ??? |

For those of you having problems with MSN plugins, have you given pecan a go? I installed it on the recommendation from another forum and it is pretty rocksolid. It connects easily and doesn't eat battery life.
I've used it for about a week now and the only bug I have discovered is that it sometimes disconnects and reconnects on its own accord. It happens about once or twice a day and I've never actually had it happen to me while I was using the device, I just hear the MSN sign in sound while the device is in standby. Unfortunately it doesn't seemto support many features, i think it only provides the basic text chat. |
