I suspect you'll find it's part of the traceability issues required for legislation as you might be plotting to blow yourself up - that's why you bought an expensive phone rather than a £10 one in Tescos.

An odd one here.

My 3 SIM is 3 years old and does not work in the N900 but my Wife's SIM is two and a half years old and does work no problem.

On the back of mine the 3 logo is Gray but on hers it's Green. (don't know if that means anything)

I'm at two minds if I should wait for the fix (Please hurry up Nokia!) or pop down to 3 and tell em I'm getting SIM errors in the 3 phone they gave me to get a new SIM.

You can ask new SIM from the operator, newer may use less voltage providing longer battery life as well

so, get a free SIM from Three here:

get a free tesco mobile sim here:

1/ use up all your credit on Three (switch to PAYG if on contract?)
2/ port your number to tesco mobile,
3/ use up any tesco mobile credit
4/ port your number back again
5/ claim the £10 for porting back in - profit!!

it's been comfirmed in bugzilla that the Three UK sim's will work with the .52 firmware.

Hmm someone has changed the status to VERIFIED .

Can someone Verify that it is now fixed.
