Unfortunately id did not!

I am assuming the problem relates to the manufacturer of the SIM card rather than the age of the SIM.

It would appear that some users with old SIMS still have the rejection issue.

I'm using a 3 sim card with my N900. Everything on it works fine, including data, calls, sms, skype, gtalk etc. Gets a good 3.5G connection too. Can't fault it tbh.

When I first put my sim in 3 sms'd me the settings automatically and the phone offered to install them..

Are you using 3 UK sim and is the N900 an UK model or US and other countries?:)

ALso just tried updating the firmware through the Mac, (as Nokia PC suite / nokia software update doesn't work unless the sim card is accepted) but this doesn't work still. How come it's marked as fixed if it isn't?

Sorry can someone confirm, is there new firmware that fixes the 3 sim car problem? Mine isn't working. My Sim is less than 2 years old on their flex T type contract, £180 per month for £26 (£35 less a discount).
If there is a FW fix, how does one download it?

No new firmware yet. When there is one, your device will notify you automatically.

I'm not prepared to wait for Nokia to release this fix, as I doubt they'll do it over Christmas break. Is there a way to do it manually via the X Terminal?

Otherwise I guess I'll just end my Three contract and get a PAC code to go elsewhere. The fact that it's marked as fixed in the Bug tracker is slightly frustrating.
