Android Market on the N810?
How can we get android market on the n810?
|
Re: Android Market on the N810?
maybe some sort of programming (porting maybe) would do but why play with Google Copyright, not worth the time. there are tons of apps in this site for the N8XX and if you want a specific one why not contact that developer and ask if they want to create one for the maemo platform

Re: Android Market on the N810?
Because maemo apps have to be in python :(
Android is so much better (even f it's a bit slower) |

...@ no one in particular and sort on topic as the thread title sort of sparked the thought...
*** With all the perfectly good N8**'s out there it would be in all parties best interest if a version of Android was built as an alternative OS specifically for the older tablets hardware. Google would benefit from the addition of more consumers of its mobile services (as well as increased exposure to potential consumers of future services). Nokia, would benefit from the continued use and pass around exposure of the devices. And, tablet owners would benefit as a more intuitive (but less capable) interface would increase resale or hand-me down value. Maemo the brand might suffer though... but hey, since the distinction between Maemo and Nokia is blurred somewhat by the average consumer anyway, Maemo could offset any dillution by preparing a few "Maemo" widgets that could only be found in this new Nokia/Maemo community version of Android. ... just killin' time over here. |
