If they did a proper launch then the forums should be lit up with "I received my tracking number" yet I see 2 or 3 people here n there reporting. So sad, Nokia has let everyone down, its been two weeks since the first press release on the 10th

I wouldn't place so much stock in what Amazon says, considering we've heard everything from it doesn't matter to when you pre-ordered it depends on your shipping method to we have enough stock to cover first shipment if you place your pre-order now.

Most people that want an N900 will get one in December. The problems creating conflicting perceptions here:

1. They announced they were shipping when still on the manufacturing floor. Peter even made this comment in the same initial announcement.

2. To try and shut people up and fill the time gap, they shipped a small batch via air to a few markets. Nokia stores and their Dell direct channels got a few hundred each as an example.

3. Most of the sumbiches' are still on a dang boat and based on the lack of channel fill and sell through to consumers, Nokia has been slow with unit velocity.

Pi55 poor launch IMO.
